Overview

The Masterclass provides an integrated understanding of the contractual complexities involved in the multi-model transportation of super-size cargoes and the management of commercial and contractual risks and liabilities.

Why choose to participate?

Apart from the practical considerations and the important voyage planning that arise in relation to heavy lift cargoes, there are also some very specific and distinct contractual needs in this trade. To assist those entering into charter parties for heavy lift cargoes and identifying suitable terms to govern their contracts of carriage, BIMCO has produced a range of documents, which today spans the entire industry, the following will be explained during the course:

Course certification

Participants will be given an option of taking a final assessment (1-hour open-book test) at the end of the course, and Certificate of Achievement will be issued with a grade (distinction, merit or pass). Those not taking the assessment will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Course materials

BIMCO issues electronic course files as an Adobe PDF file enabling you to make personal notes using a computer or tablet. Please bring a computer or tablet! All documentation and presentations will be in English.
