Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) have introduced a Maritime Security Transit Corridor linking the Internationally Recognised Transit Corridor (IRTC) in the Gulf of Aden and the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) in the lower Red Sea.
The guidance from CMF will assist military forces to concentrate their support and protection of merchant ships in the area. See the attached guidance note and associated maps giving further details.
BIMCO encourages members to consider adopting this guidance as part of their risk assessment process when planning transit routes in this area.

The Bunker Alerts are not intended to be an evaluation of overall bunker quality in the port or area concerned, but usually highlight a specific parameter within the fuel which has raised a quality issue.
