Summary of Vietnamese trading restrictions
In accordance with the Vietnamese Maritime Code, Section B, Article 23, Item 3 "Foreign sea-going vessels run by nuclear power shall not be permitted to operate in inland and territorial waters of Vietnam unless approval is granted".
The only other restriction applied relates to commodities contained in the "List of Im-Export Prohibited Cargoes", such as weapons and narcotics. This list is issued yearly by the Ministry of Commerceand The Customs General Department. (Unfortunately BIMCO does not possess a copy of the latest list).
