  • Arab League Boycott of Israel: Saudi Arabia's Position
According to information received from local contacts the following are prohibited from calling at Saudi Arabian ports.

    - Vessels of Israeli flag / registry.
    - Israeli owned, operated and/or managed vessels.
    - Vessels with Israeli crew / officers on board.
    - Vessels carrying Israeli cargo.

    Notes:
Vessels that have previously been owned, operated and/or managed by an Israeli concern, but have subsequently been sold on, are now free to call at Saudi Arabian ports.

Vessels which have previously traded to Israel are no longer prohibited from calling Saudi Arabian ports. I.e. Vessels are now free to call an Israeli port prior to calling at a Saudi Arabian port on the same voyage, but for cargo in-transit, loaded from Israeli port, permission has to be obtained from Port Authorities prior to loading of cargo.  No Israeli cargo will be allowed to discharge at Saudi Ports.
