In an effort to understand the situation that members are facing, BIMCO is launching a survey regarding the European Union’s Ship Recycling Regulations’ (EUSRR) requirement of Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) that most cargo ships must comply with from 31 December 2020.
BIMCO has posted information on the topic along with relevant guidance documents on our website: here.
BIMCO highly recommends that members take part in the survey as the results will help us get an overview of the situation and provide us with the data that we need when our organization approaches the relevant authorities for a dialogue and in order to take the necessary steps.
The survey contains seven questions and should take 5 to 10 minutes to complete if you have the required information ready.

The Survey will run until 31 May 2020.
Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) publish regular Bunker Alerts based entirely on fuel samples and have kindly permitted BIMCO’s Members to access this information.
The Bunker Alerts are not intended to be an evaluation of overall bunker quality in the port or area concerned, but usually highlight a specific parameter within the fuel which has raised a quality issue.
