As holidays are not static, but constantly changing, BIMCO’s Holiday Calendar is an invaluable tool for many in the industry. Starting with the 2020 edition, BIMCO has made improvements and changes to the accessibility and distribution of the calendar.
One of the cornerstones of BIMCO is to support members’ businesses by delivering practical tools, advice and guidance across their main trades. An example of one such tool is the indispensable voyage planning tool: the BIMCO Holiday Calendar, which serves as guidance.
Access to the 2020 edition of the Holiday Calendar data is offered to members free of charge on the BIMCO website. The most recent and updated version is always accessible on the website, and all data is expected to be updated mid-December 2019.
It is recommended that members take advantage of reaching out to our inhouse holiday experts for support. Should our members prefer a direct connection between their systems and the BIMCO holiday database, we recommend utilisation of our tailored API scheduled for release this month, a new and improved service that remains a complementary benefit to members. To get access, please forward your request to holidays@bimco.org, and we will provide the necessary support. In addition to the new API feature, BIMCO has improved both the structure of the data in the calendar and the legal validity, compared with previous issues.
Following BIMCO’s entering into a publishing agreement with Witherby, the 2020 edition will no longer be forwarded to members free of charge, but members will get a significant discount. Going forward, the printed version of the Holiday Calendar will be available for purchase for everyone in the industry as well, however, support and advice relating to holiday information is not included when purchasing the printed holiday calendar, unless the user is a BIMCO member.
Pre-orders of the Holiday Calendar publication can be made from 10 December 2019 by using this link.
Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) publish regular Bunker Alerts based entirely on fuel samples and have kindly permitted BIMCO’s Members to access this information.
The Bunker Alerts are not intended to be an evaluation of overall bunker quality in the port or area concerned, but usually highlight a specific parameter within the fuel which has raised a quality issue.
All of BIMCO's most widely used contracts and clauses as well as advice on managing charters and business partners.
