The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has published the latest International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes ( IMSBC) Code, incorporating Amendment 05-19, 2020 edition. BIMCO informs members what these new amendments are and how they can access the information on the BIMCO Cargo database section.
The IMO adopted Amendment 05-19 ( Amdt 05-19) to the IMSBC Code at the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC)'s 101 session this year via resolution MSC.462 (101).
Amdt 05-19 will enter into force on 1st January 2021 but contracting member government states to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1972, as amended ( SOLAS Convention) can apply in whole or in part the said amendment with effect from 1 January 2020.
Please click here to find out more about what these amendments are and how BIMCO can assist the members in getting ready with the new IMSBC Code.
Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) publish regular Bunker Alerts based entirely on fuel samples and have kindly permitted BIMCO’s Members to access this information.
The Bunker Alerts are not intended to be an evaluation of overall bunker quality in the port or area concerned, but usually highlight a specific parameter within the fuel which has raised a quality issue.
All of BIMCO's most widely used contracts and clauses as well as advice on managing charters and business partners.
