BIMCO Dry Bulk Cargo Network – FAQ from 3rd meeting ready

Questions from our owner members during the 3rd BIMCO Dry Bulk Cargo Network meeting have been compiled and ready to be shared with everyone involved in shipment of dry solid cargoes.

As the BIMCO Dry Bulk Cargo Network FAQ is a new initiative recently launched, we are happy to inform that the FAQ from the 3rd online meeting held on 28 August is readily available now.

The questions raised were mostly related to their operational challenges with the discharge of solid cargo residues under MARPOL Annex V. Another was about how to handle the particle size distribution formula criteria distinguishing Group A and Group C cargoes in order to ensure that the right cargo is being loaded on board the ship.

We encourage all BIMCO owner members dealing with the shipment of dry bulk cargoes to join the network, where you will get the opportunity to ask questions and get useful information and knowledge from other members. Meetings are all held online. The next online meeting which will be the last for 2024 is on Thursday 28 November 2024 at 07:00-08.30 UTC.
