Jakob P. Larsen, BIMCO’s Head of Maritime Safety & Security, will attend the 52nd SHADE (Shared Awareness and De-confliction) Conference in Bahrain.
The event will be chaired by the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), and co-chaired by the Operation Commander of EUNAVFOR ATALANTA. Personnel from EU NAVFOR’s Operation Aspides will attend the conference, however, not in an organising role.
The conference aims to achieve the following objectives:
· To facilitate the formation and development work of working groups to streamline operations coordination and de-confliction;
· To facilitate the sharing of lessons learnt, and threat awareness within the region;
· To foster the de-confliction of future activities; and
· To strengthen the professional network, exchange knowledge on the latest advancements in maritime security, and align objectives accordingly.
Attendance is limited, and registration is required.
