Is a mineral: natural hydrated magnesium silicate; soft with a soapy or greasy feel and whitish, green or grey in colour. Bulk density: 1,370-1,563 kg/m3. Very resistant to heat, acids and alkalies. Used for the production of talcum powder, also as a lubricant in ceramics, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, filler material for paints, rubber and insecticides, and electrical insulation.
