Description

Ferro alloys are alloys of iron together with some element (other than carbon); the most common ores in this entry are ferro-manganese (see separate entry for "Ferro Manganese"); silica manganese and ferrosilicon (see separate entry on "Ferrosilicon"). Ferry alloys are heavy cargoes and normally used as an agent to introduce an element into molten metal, especially into steel or cast iron.
