4th edition of the SCMA Arbitration Rules published

The Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA) has published the 4th edition of the SCMA Arbitration Rules which take effect as of 1 January 2022.

There are two changes to the Rules that require an amendment to BIMCO’s Law and Arbitration Clause for Singapore Arbitration. The “Small Claims Procedure” has been renamed the “Expedited Procedure” and the threshold has been raised from USD 150,000 to USD 300,000. BIMCO’s Clause has been amended to reflect these changes.
