An odourless, tasteless, off-white to beige sand material containing a mixture of naturally occurring silicates and quartz produced by processing naturally occurring spodumene. Bulk density: 1,600 - 2,000 kg/m3.
Non-IMSBC Code information: a processed mineral concentrate formed by processing natural spodumene which is a naturally occurring lithium mineral found within a pegmatite ore body. The pegmatite ore is mined, crushed, and subjected to various physical processes to produce this spodumene concentrate. Uses: manufacture of glass, ceramic and metallurgical products as well as manufacturing lithium chemicals that are used in various applications like the production of lithium ion batteries. |
